Personal Touches

Materials:

Unity Candle

Heat gun or hair dryer

Hot Glue gun

White beeswax sheets; seven honeycomb shaped and one woven

One tea light candle

Wedding invitation

1/2 yard of ivory pearl string, 4mm pearls

1 yard of ivory sheer ribbon with iridescent edge, 3/4” wide

1/2 yard ivory lace, 1/4” wide

Lace satin ribbon flower cluster, 1.5” in diameter

Taper Candles

Two candle wicks, 10.5” lengths

Two white woven beeswax sheets

Ultra-fine iridescent glitter

Use a craft knife to cut four honeycomb sheets and one woven sheet to measure 8.5” X 11” sheets, aligning bottom edges. (note: a well will remain in the center of the candle where a tea light is inserted.)

Cut a rectangle, or desired shape, from the upper center of your woven sheet to make a frame for invitation; glue invitation to back of frame. (Note: you may have to cut the invitation for a better fit.) Warm wax. Roll sheet onto candle.

Embellish candle with pearls, ribbon, lace or flowers as desired.

To make the taper candles, cut sheets to measure 8.5’ X 10”. Warm wax. Position wick along 10” edge of sheet with 1/2” extending beyond top edge. Fold sheet over wick and tightly roll sheet to form candle, keeping top and bottom edges even. Rub glitter into candle surface, and your candles are ready to use.
